Commercial Account Coordinator Sheena Gennow is a key member of the Nicol Insurance commercial accounts executive’s team. As a Nicol Insurance coordinations expert, Sheena keeps the “information flowing” whether it’s in the early stage of the renewal process or a brand new commercial policy. Sheena is immersed in documents, as in accumulating and organizing them. As a key member of the team, Sheena coordinates document knowledge sharing. This important process ensures the right information is in preparation and present for a variety of commercial account meetings.
Commercial Account Manager, April McNabb enjoys building relationships with both clients and coworkers. Working out of Nicol Insurance’s Port Elgin office, she spends her day servicing commercial files and providing support to existing clients. April has been part of the Nicol team for well over a decade. Having both personal and commercial insurance experience, April’s focus is on serving Nicol’s business clients. She likes the complete service approach Nicol offers clients, especially the dedicated team assigned to each one, “when you call in, we are able to provide excellent customer service and respond in a timely manner.”
As a Commercial Account Manager Tara manages a diverse commercial book of business for Nicol’s Commercial Insurance division. She has had many roles throughout her career. In her early days, Tara found out quickly that she preferred the commercial department to any other, taking on the role as a commercial customer service representative, while at the same time, doing other office duties. A short time later she completed her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation (CAIB), and the rest is history.
Originally from Meaford, Jocelyn Follis has lived in Owen Sound since 2004. She is comforted by the fact that Owen Sound, in her opinion, “is the best place to raise children”. Jocelyn has a wealth of experience that transfers easily to her position at Nicol Insurance. She started her career in the Hospitality Industry where she learned about standards, expectations and providing excellent customer service. Jocelyn knows business will only run smoothly, when systems are in the right place and standards are kept high.
Jim Washington was the owner and lead broker at Landry Washington Insurance until its sale to Nicol Insurance in 2019. Jim now shares his lead broker distinction with other brokers, who together, are part of the Ontario Nicol team. An industry veteran, Jim works in the Nicol Insurance Mississauga office. With over 3 decades in the insurance business, moving from the ownership position was a nice change for Jim, as he now gets to focus on the part of his business he liked the best, “the people”.
Account Manager Keneisha Johnson works out of the Orangeville insurance office and is the main contact for day-to-day policy changes and billing inquires. Her coworkers are like her second family, and together they work towards providing the best experience possible for Nicol Insurance policy holders.
Administrative Support Dawn Coram has been working at Nicol Insurance Orangeville office for half a decade.
Alyssa Beattie has been “enjoying” the insurance business for nearly two decades. She joined the Nicol Insurance Kincardine office soon after completing her post-secondary education in London.
Ashley Bailie is by nature passionate, as she’s eager to help people and make sure their needs are taken care of. The best part about her work day at Nicol’s Insurance Kincardine office is getting to know her clients. It comes easy for her, as her warm personality and welcoming smile radiates an approachable individual. For Ashely, there is “nothing more rewarding than knowing you were able to help someone.”Ashley finds the “variety” of her work the “most enjoyable” aspect of her day. Nicol has a diverse set of clientele, “with so many different needs”, this “keeps things interesting” she says, as she is always learning something new.
With over 30 years experience in the insurance industry, Ana’s positive attitude and zeal for life make dealing with Ana a wonderful and easy experience. She’s a firm believer in treating people fairly, the way she would like to be treated. She finds that Nicol is more like family than just co-workers, making the day-to-day all the more enjoyable. When not working Ana spends time with her family and friends, attending Portuguese Community events including organizing Portuguese style bullfights with her son.
