Nicol Insurance Inc. sponsored the Headwaters Food & Farming Alliance that brings awareness to the health and well-being of the residences of Dufferin County and Caledon through different programs such as Farm to School and the Farm Fresh Map. From the dinner went towards the Farm to #Schoolprogram which focuses on teaching kids about a food system that is sustainable and productive. Some schools are growing their own window garden and complete crunch challenges with local produce.
March 23rd dinner was all local farm-to-table ingredients with the farmers at the function to talk about what they bring to the county & how they spread awareness. Some of the contributors to the dinner with Am Braigh Farm, Lennox Farm, Woolwich Dairy, Rock View Farms and Cedar Creek Acres.
