Jay Gujarati has always been the kind of person who enjoys helping others figure things out. That’s what drew him into insurance—it gave him the chance to take that natural ability and turn it into a career helping families protect what matters most.

He first got a taste for the industry while working in sales, where he often explained coverages and helped clients make changes to their policies. It didn’t take long for him to realize he wanted to dive deeper and focus on insurance full-time. Now, as part of the Nicol Insurance team, Jay spends his days connecting with clients, learning their stories, and making sure they walk away with peace of mind.

For Jay, the best part of his work is that no two days are the same. Each client brings a new situation, and with it, something new to learn. He thrives on those fresh challenges, approaching each one with positivity, patience, and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Jay’s passions keep him just as busy. He’s an avid photographer who loves to travel, hike, and capture the beauty of new places through his lens. On a sunny afternoon, you might find him out on a trail or at the park recharging with some personal “me time”. He also enjoys sports, especially cricket and table tennis, which give him a chance to stay active and competitive.
