Nicol Insurance donated $10,000 to the Huron Shores Hospice. The money comes from the company, its employees and everyone who has Nicol as their insurance provider. The donation makes Nicol Insurance the Family Support sponsor to kick off Phase II on the fundraising efforts to bring a second residential hospice bed to south Bruce County.
“When we heard that help was required to support such a great initiative, we felt it was extremely important we step forward to support our community,” said chief executive officer Tim Nicol. “Being the Family Support sponsor is not only a great honour but also fits with our desire to give back to families that support us and allow us to be in a position to give back.
“There is no more important time to support family than when they are going through hard times, and we hope that this makes life a little easier in a very difficult time. Our company philosophy is to be a great corporate citizen and recognize that we would not exist if not for those in our communities who put their trust in us every day. This donation is from Nicol Insurance, all its employees and also from those who choose us as their insurance provider. I certainly hope that everyone involved is as proud as I am to be a part of supporting such a worthwhile cause.”
